Description of “…Push…”
“…Push…” was designed to help keep organized while instilling inspiration into your daily life. Oftentimes, it’s hard to remember that just because a metaphorical door you see is closed, doesn’t mean it’s locked. We all have had to go the extra mile or to face a fear in order to access something we wanted in life. Those doors that are harder to open just need more time. They aren’t locked to you, just because they’re closed. Sometimes, all you have to do is “…Push…” and a step towards your dream will come true.
As it is with most of my pieces, it wasn’t accidental that I made “…Push…” into a key rack. I wanted to further the theme of opening doors, keys, locks, and incorporate all of that into a functional piece of wood art for someone. It’s hard to think that pushing on a closed door is an acceptable thing to do. But, in my opinion, if we walk through our lives without pushing on those closed doors, we will live a life full of “what if’s” and that’s not a life worth living. Do something you want, take that step towards pushing a closed door open and make your dream(s) come true. No matter how many times that dream changes.

You can be inspired every single day as you walk out of your home. There’s no possibility of missing the contrasted phrase “Not every closed door is locked. …Push…” that I carved and stained into this beautiful piece of walnut. As you grab your keys and jacket from this rack before walking out your front door to start your day, the saying will be ingrained in your mind, giving you the positive power to push on those doors you thought were locked. Seize the day and make every push count!
The dimensions of “…Push…” include from the bottom curve of the cup hooks to the top tip of the hinge as well as the width from the flush back to the surface of the knobs. Essentially, the dimensions are from the widest parts in each direction!
“…Push…” also comes with six (6) drywall anchors and screws so you can install it in your home the day you receive it! If you have any questions about installing, feel free to contact Schaedings!
